Eating is a delight. A delight to which we all succumb. A delight that we so eagerly reach for.... In the modern world, culinary has grown into an art, and we - we want to taste and celebrate it.

We willingly visit a restaurant because.... Well, exactly, or just to eat? A meeting with friends, a family celebration, a date, a business meeting, all these make us take our first steps towards a restaurant. So, what should a restaurant be like in our times? What are the criteria for choosing it?

Begin by saying that when you cross a restaurant's threshold, you want to feel like a guest, not a customer. And a guest is always greeted with joy - with a kind word, a small gesture, treated with due attentiveness. This is important because the first few moments, whether the restaurant is located on a pedestrianised street (and you only drop in for chips) or you have to drive a few kilometres to get there, will be memorable. A friendly atmosphere will encourage him or her to visit again, even if it means footing a higher bill. Let's be honest, for treating us in a special way we are able to spend a lot of money, moreover never regretting it.

We like to be adored.... And that's why having the waiter (or rather our guide) show us to our table is a perfect example of respect for the guest, and even more, treating them to a short conversation increases the value of the restaurant and contributes to greater interest in it. Such behaviour always uplifts us and puts us in a good mood, and when we are in a good mood we see the world in pastel colours, we perceive ourselves and our surroundings better.

We eat with our eyes! So, the menu influences what we order. The appearance of the menu itself and, of course, the way it is presented is also important. The menu card is the business card of every restaurant, so it is worth taking care of it, preparing it in such a way that it attracts our attention, so that we start to study it carefully, so that we want to look into it again. It should be clear, legible and well-thought-out, and above all interesting and original. When we receive a menu in our hands, it must captivate us, making us want to soak up the sight before we open it and start reading. The menu card is the packaging of the dishes, and after all, the packaging is the promise of the contents.

As the producer of LUVA Handmade Menus, I pay special attention to this small, but how insanely important aspect for every restaurant guest. I spare no effort to ensure that the packaging of the guests' culinary desires is delightful and memorable. Success in the catering business largely depends on the first impression (i.e. the décor of the establishment and the way in which guests are welcomed), but also on the form in which the menu is served, and the appearance of the menu itself.
