The history of family business began three generations earlier, when in 1933, 19-year-old Stefan Chwiłowicz - grandfather of the present owner of the company, graduated from the saddle master. In the same year, Stefan began working independently. The only available means of transport - by bicycle, he visited farms where he made minor repairs to horse harnesses. In the following years, he was able to buy the necessary tools and open a factory producing these harnesses in the farm buildings in the village of Ostrowąż. Initially, only a few employees were employed. The technology was not complicated, but it required craft precision. Harnesses were sewn by hand in wooden benches with an awl and string, and then they were sold at marketplaces to farmers who cultivate the land with horses. Franciszek studied profession - making harnesses - from Stefan, and then his son Tomasz. Over the years, as the picture of the village changed and the horses were replaced by tractors, Franciszek started looking for new outlets, started leather goods production: wallets, briefcases, various cases that he delivered to stores and wholesalers. Just as machines replaced horses in the fields, electric machines appeared in the factories, replacing benches for manual sewing of harnesses. An important moment in the development of the company was the development in the 1980s of technology for the production of a leather pump piston, which, thanks to an agreement with the ROMET bike factory, found itself in every Polish pump for a bicycle or car. The denomination of the zloty, which took place in the 90s, gave Polish craftsmen a gift in the form of demand for hundreds of thousands of leather horseshoes and coin wallets. It is safe to say that the company's life for decades was related to the needs and history of the country.

Over the years, the business entity has changed, but the family tradition and passion for leather crafts remained unchanged. "When their peers played in the sandbox - I was a child and played with leather scraps in my father's workshop. I perfectly remember this beautiful scent of skin, I could not do anything else. "- says Tomasz Chwiłowicz. Nowadays, the company he runs deals with the production of leather goods of his own brand, PERSONA, which he sells as business gifts of the premium class. The company has been awarded many times as the best producer of the advertising industry, and its products are distinguished annually during trade fairs. Currently, JaguarGift is present on all European markets, is still looking for innovative and original ideas, patenting the designs developed by it.

In addition to production under its own brand, the company has been producing products for other brands for years. Recognizing the potential of the horeca industry, she purchased a brand of "LUVA" menu cards from one of her German customers. This example shows how Polish family businesses can grow, without complexes, finding a place for themselves on the European market.

„We believe that our passion for creating beautiful and practical things from leather, will result in products that will be desirable and admired by customers.” - Summarisation Tomasz Chwiłowicz
